Deposit Policy
1. THE DEPOSIT AMOUNT REQUIRED
(A) The deposit amount required is an amount equal to the average of two (2) months bills as computed by the CMCR CONSULTING GROUP study of April 1999, which said computation is as follows:

(B) The General Manager of the District shaff increase deposit amount as deemed appropriate under certain circumstances when in his discretion the deposit amount is in gross disparity with other deposits or the deposit amount is not sufficient to protect the District’s interest
(C) The deposit amount calculated at the average of two (2) months bills shall be recomputed from time to time by the Board of Directors of District whenever it is deemed necessary.
II. REFUND OF DEPOSIT
(A). If a District customer has paid bills for water-sewer services for twenty-four (18) consecutive residential billings or thirty-six (36) consecutive commercial or industrial billings without having more than two (2) occasions in which a bill was delinquent and when said customer is not currently delinquent in the payment of bill for services, customer deposit will be refimded for good credit.
(B) When a customer who has been refunded his or her deposit subsequently becomes a delinquent customer, the General Manager shall request the said customer again make a deposit which will be subject to subsection (A) above in the amount required at the time.
(C) Failure of the customer to make a deposit at the request of the General Manager as required in subsection (B) above, will make that customer subject to disconnection of services.
(D) Delinquent Customer for Purposes of the deposit policy Only is defined as a District customer that has been disconnected for nonpayment at least two (2) prior times.

THE LAGUNA MADRE WATER DISTRICT
HEREBY ADOPTS THE FOLLOWING POLICY REGARDING
SEPARATE WATER METER FOR IRRIGATION PURPOSES
I. SEPARATE METER REQUEST
A. The “District” may install new and separate water meters for irrigation purposes only (water only) upon a “District” customer’s request. The General Manager is hereby authorized to approve such request, at his discretion.
II. REVOCATION OF SEPARATE METER INSTALLATION
A. A separate meter once installed may be removed and a penalty fee to be determined by the Board of Directors may be imposed if the “District” determines that:
1. the separate meter is not being used for irrigation purposes only but is in fact connected to lines that have sewer service.
III. BILLING RATE
Once a separate meter has been installed the “District” customer shall be billed on the remaining (old) meter at the rate of 100% of water and sewer usage instead of the previous billing format of 100% for water usage and 70% for sewer usage.
IV. TAP FEE
The “District” shall charge a new tap fee and may require a new deposit on separate meter installation.
